Science-based information can contribute to better decision-making by governments and public and private institutions, to the professionalization of beekeeping and meliponiculture in the country, and to the improvement of the relationship between agriculture and these activities.

In order to carry out these actions, on all fronts and with different audiences, A.B.E.L.H.A. has a renowned Scientific Committee, which brings together some of the greatest specialists in biodiversity, bees and agronomy from various institutions and universities of Brazil.

The Scientific Council guides the actions and gives A.B.E.L.H.A. the technical and scientific basis, essential for the association to promote initiatives that broaden the knowledge of various actors of society to contribute to the conservation of bees and pollinators in Brazil.
